Beneficiaries of the St. Paddy’s Day 5K

The Naperville Sunrise Rotary Foundation is a 501c3 not-for profit organized totally by volunteer philanthropists.  It is a separate legal entity from the Naperville Sunrise Rotary and has it’s own budget.  100% of our money raised by the race and other foundation projects.

Funds from this event will be used to fund the following organizations.

KidsMatter

  • Funds to produce “Life-Lines to Mental Health” – Practical Resources that will address the destructive stressors leading to prescription drug abuse, addiction, chronic anxiety, depression and suicide and teach positive coping mechanisms that foster resilience, positive identity and self-esteem.
  • KidsMatter –“ Lifelines to Mental Health” Resources to combat Youth Anxiety, Drug Abuse, Addiction and Suicide

360 Youth Services

  • For student scholarships to attend Operation Snowball Peer-Leadership Anti-Substance Abuse Training.

Often funds we give to worthy causes are eligible for matching funds from our Rotary District and Rotary International’s matching  funds.  The Rotary Club of Naperville Sunrise directed our focus to the mission to improve the health and well-being of Youth and Young Adults in the Naperville area and around the world.

International Service

International Service encompasses efforts to expand Rotary’s humanitarian reach around the world and to promote world understanding and peace. It includes everything from contributing to PolioPlus to helping Rotary Youth Exchange students adjust to their host countries. Sunrise Rotary has led local residents in the building of 2 community Schools inTikondane Zambia and is working on clean water hydro electric power in Duchity, Haiti.

Vocational Service

Encourages Rotarians to discuss their occupations, mentoring new Rotarians, and supporting vocational programs in both school districts through:

  • Leadership Academy in Naperville Schools and Youth Leadership activities in the Naperville Area Chamber of Commerce
  • District 203 Mock Trial
  • Student Trade Show in District 203
  • Leadership Seminars at Neuqua High School
